He obviously isn't lip synching he just had to cancel the rest of his tour. I just saw them on 8/6 in Atlantic City and 9/10 in Newark and both performances were amazing, but there were times where he was too tired to sing a few lines here and there,so obviously he wasn't lip synching either time and he was just AMAZING! Rest assured STP fans our front man does not lip synch!!!!! BTW he has sanf Crackerman for 20 years now. You don' t think he can still sing it on the ground?????

[...] An A picture of him with a mic on his mouth doesn’t prove anything. Except the fact that he was determined to mantain the lie. People say “look at this picture here…of course he was singing”. Well, this is at least extremely naive.
STP is my fav band since1993 and forever will be, no matter what, but Scott Weiland is sadly already dead and for sale. Let’s face it.

Closing the case:
he was lip-syncing a backing track. This backing track is on a lower volume level and WITHOUT the Megaphone sound. of COURSE the backing track is without the megaphone…it’s safety! That way Scott feels free to use or not the Megaphone while singing the song, and that´s why you do not listen to the Megaphone while he is down( and that explains also why his voice volume drops a little during his time on the ground).[...]

you heard the mic hit...would anyone actually think he had the mic on and not singing?

As I stated before I don't think he was lip syncing. However until you've stepped into his shoes. Don't try to cast stones. I would like to see you tour for over a year, working your ass and vocal cords every night.

@lacysims88 Doesn't matter. People pay to go see STP and hear them live. A recorded vocal track is not live. Save that for the pop stars.

I don't believe that he was lip syncing, but even if he did who the fuck cares? We know he can really sing, just listen to his unplugged concerts with STP. He's one of the best front men alive today. Scott has payed his dues, and doesn't have to defend himself to anyone.

plus... did any of the sensationalist drama queens who cried lip synching stop to think for a second that he didn't climb back up until a break in the lyrics? I mean there were like 3 or 4 dudes trying to help him up who just sat, staring at him. You don't think he was down there with one finger in the air saying "hold on just a sec?"

He could have completely carried on singing with that fall because he's done crazy dance and jump moves all throughout his career and I've always respected the fact that his vocals remain solid.
Also, look at the singin before the fall - you can tell when he alternates between the megaphone and microphone that thats his own voice, not a backing track, because his voice fades as he pull the megaphone away. Its too difficult to sync so perfectly if it was a backing track.
