Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a birth defect that occurs when the diaphragm fails to fully form, allowing abdominal organs into the chest cavity and preventing lung growth. CDH occurs in 1 in every 2500 babies = 1600 babies per year in the United Stated and over 600,000 babies worldwide since 2000. 50% of babies born with CDH do not survive. The cause is unknown.
This video was created to show all the ways that families are raising CDH Awareness and how the CDH Awareness Ribbon is being used to promote research, support and more awareness.
