Season 1, Episode 2 (4/24/1977)
Part 1 of 3

In this episode we investigate New Hampshire's Mystery Hill and the "Oracle Chamber." Was this site, as some believe, built by ancient Phoenicians, who traveled to America in the dim past, thousands of years ago? Or is it an elaborate hoax? Scientists and Archaeologists discuss their views and their theories on what the ruins may mean and who might have built them. Some of the stones seem to indicate their use was to track the solstices, equinoxes, and other celestial events. Some experts even believe that aliens may have been responsible for the site while others attribute it to Native Americans.

  • No problem. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

  • If they do a DVD release, it'd better be the original edits, like these, instead of the severely mutilated versions that have run on A&E and SciFi. If the publisher wants to "correct" any errors, let 'em do it in a commentary track, not by spoiling the original.

  • This is a great show, I've never seen it before thanks for posting it!

  • thanks a bunch for these classics. FYI, in future uploads, be sure to check 'deinterlace' on your encoding. That will remove the horizontal bar effect you can see in movement on video.

  • @steveasat2 You said it! I hate when they try to 'fix' what isn't broken.

  • I've been to Fort Mountain. There is a plaque there that states the local Indians noted the arrival of the "Moon Faced" people. The moon faces had strange tools. But you look at what the built and it's just hard to think that a few Vikings could have built it. And well...it's up in the mountains about 2 hours north of Atlanta. Trippy!

  • They should have called it 'Jimmy Hill'.

  • @porcoroco Yes, he has a great voice

  • Wow. Very interesting. My dad and i found similar stone structures on my Grandma's property in the mountains of Massachusetts in thick woods and brush. I wonder if there is any connection.

  • I really liked how Nimoy said, "Medicine Wheel".

  • It has been sooo long since I've seen these!!! Lovin' it Thanks for uploading!!!!

  • cool
