An Australian entry in the international 2010 James Dyson Award, 'Stryder' is a product concept from university student Dat Huynh. A hybrid crutch and knee scooter for non-weight bearing lower leg injuries, Stryder enables users to get around with greater efficiency of movement and less strain and fatigue on the body than using conventional crutches.
Along with the ability to be used as a knee scooter for commuting in urban environments, Stryder can also fold into a crutch to navigate stairs and to assist in getting on and off public transport.
