  • This song "Fly" was dedicated to Celine's niece, Karine who died of Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 16. A very fitting & touching song especially since she was her mother's favorite singer! Keep skating Joannie, you do it so well!

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you Joannie; thank you Celine for this inspirational combination.

  • I have never seen anyone skate with such emotion. AMAZING

  • I cried for hours over this skate, please keep skating or else I won't have an Idol. You are amazingly strong and I never could have done what you have done. Thank you so much for the inspiration.

  • Let's hope she comes back and skates "amateur" for the sake of skating. While there are many great skaters; she still could win a world championship.

  • I thought I recognized that voice! And sure enough... there's Elisabeth Hasselbeck

  • @tothboy01 When they say that they mean encouragement. It's not like she won just because everyone wished she would win. They mean helping her through the heartbreak of her mother dying. They helped to go on in the Olympics instead of going home and crying about it.

  • 0:36 "And a whole nation, maybe the whole world sweeps her up to the podium with their prayers and good wishes." Whoa! I'm trying to watch this video and then all of a sudden I hear the notion that prayers and wishes intervene and give Joannie help. She didn't have any help, at least not in the sense of prayers or wishes coming true. She did this herself, she deserves the credit. I can't help but think that this notion of prayers and wishes is simply rude.

  • Thank you so much !for releasing a photo of Joannie with her mom and again, with her parents. And she looks absolutely pretty in pink!

  • Salut Joannie! Thank you for the beautiful expression of your amazing talents at Thin Ice. I was in the MGM audience and felt your peformance was very special to all of us there, as it is every time that you skate. Meilleurs souhaits toujours...

  • Canada is so proud of you Joannie!

    God bless

  • So Beautiful
