"are you sure shes not home.."
"emily.."
"what."
"just go."
"how sure are you?"
"im pretty sure shes not there."
"why cant you just come with me?"
"why cant you go by yourself?" emily sighed at the question nick gave her.
"because..."
"okay, babe.." she looked at him. "shes not home. if she was, her car would be in the driveway.." she sighed again knowing he was right. "whats wrong? why dont you want to go in your house?"
"i dont know..."
"just go.." he whispered. she opened the car door and started to walk towards her house. she looked back at nick who was leaning against his car. he mouthed 'go' and walked towards his house. she opened the door and walked inside. she took 3 more faster steps; more like running. she stopped and shook her head. "emily are you kidding me?! this is your home. stop being sucha coward. gosh.." she inhale and exhaled as she walked upstairs. she passed by her brothers room and instantly felt the need for him being ten again; when he was a kid, always home, making her feel better. she walked to her room and opened the door. she dropped her bag-that was full of clothes that joe brought- on the floor. she walked towards her desk that was mounted with the presents she had gotten from her birthday. "crap.i forgot about you guys.." she picked them up and threw them on her bed. "okay..lets start with the heavy one." she checked it was from and it was from: kristin, pibby and zach. "they must be pretty cheap if they are all buying this.." she opened it and saw a laptop. "okay nevermind about cheap!" she saw a note that was taped on the laptop. she opened the note that said: 'its for you to record your songs, listen to them and chat with us!' she laughed lighly and grabbed another present. she picked up roxy's and opened it.there was a picture of the whole gang with there dates at prom. emily was doing a monkey face and nick was just staring at her with a sweet smile on his face. she bit her lip and layed it next to her.next she picked up alices and opened it. alice had given her an iPod and that suprised emily. "why are they giving me these presents? so expensive.." she stood up and went back to her desk. she picked up nicks present and hesitated. she looked out her window, into nicks room. she sighed and looked back at the box. "why havent i opened this...?" she opened the box and felt her mouth drop. "wow..major..wow." there in the box laid earings, a necklace, and a braclet. they all had her birthstone on it: topaz.
"emily breathe." she took a breath and turned around. she saw nick sitting on her window.
"im breathing.."
"you werent 2 seconds ago." she smiled. he continued by saying "you ike it.." while looking at his present.
"huh; uh no."
"what why..?" he walked closer to her.
"because i love it."
"oh i see.." he got closer putting his arms around her waist. she held her the present up on her chest and looked into nicks eyes. "so how was your adventure going through your house?"
"it was great." she said laughing.
"anything you need right now."
"uhhm.." she squinched one eye and looked up. "maybee.."
"what do you need?"
"a kiss.."
"a kiss?"
"mhmm.."
"do you know how dangerous kisses can be?"
"noopeei have no idea."
"do you know what a kiss is?"
"uhh no."
"well let me demenstrate.." she laughed a little as nick reached in to kiss her -dun de deren der der dun de deren der der-
"UUUGHHH!" nick laughed at her response to his ringing phone.
"you know..you didnt have to over react and just let me demenstrate a kiss." she laughed lighty and said "right." nick held her in his right arm as he reached for his phone with the other. he answered the call and said "helllo.." suddenly nicks face became into a frighten stage and looked at emily. "right now..oh shh-okay..we'll be there in 5...yeah bye.."
"what happened.."
"grandma.."
