Read more http://swns.com - A dangerous driver who narrowly missed hitting a train as he smashed through a barrier during a high-speed police chase from Peterborough to Whittlesey has been jailed. Terrence Fowler (20), of Peyton Avenue, March, was caged for three-and-a-half years for a string of offences carried out in a six-mile chase from Peterborough city centre to Whittlesey. Peterborough Crown Court was shown CCTV footage that revealed the terrifying moment on June 20 last year when Fowler crashed into level-crossing barriers at King's Dyke, Whittlesey, just seconds before a 120-tonne train travelling at 75mph went through the junction. Police began to chase Fowler on London Road after a red Mercedes he had taken from a friend to give a pregnant woman a lift into the city centre was reported stolen.

@UKBassStep no, I completely understand! just feels like the police are so limited by rules and regulations, they cant really do anything anymore, which will over time increase crime!

surely the government realizes our country is too fucking soft? When will someone see sense and see that criminals commit crimes because they simply aren't scared? Whats going to happen if they go to jail? Chill all day, no work needed, relax, watch tv, excercise. Yes its not perfect but for the kind of people criuminals are its all they want! Bring back the death penalty and crime will go down, simple right? Criminals need to be scared of the police and put off doing crimes due to fear of death

@londonas2 the car didn't go far, this hapened in Peterborough town, and the place where they started the chase and the place where they stoped the pursuit is only a few miles apart, in that short distance not even the great american donuts eating five-o's wouldn't have done anything

Looking at some comments saying the police should have done this and that, they should have guns etc. Well not really because we are not in the U.S were people like to shoot each other all the time, thankfully only special police need guns in this country, it is this in fact that keeps crime down. Having guns would just drive it up like the U.S.
