How big is the Laserglow Hercules laser?

This video features my biggest, baddest and most expensive laser: The Laserglow Hercules-400. It delivers over 400 mW in average af 532 nm green photons (peak 489,6 mW).

I personally bought it second hand from a guy who had imported it to Denmark many years ago so it is not interesting what I paid. You can get a new one from laserglow (dot) com for 1389$ as of September 2011.

Not really. I was walking/standing beside the laser beams and holding the camera in stretced arms right over the beams. My eyes were never close to the beams. The camera was in danger though but this was filmed with an old camera (it's not even widescreen...).

In my life things don't have to be practical to justify their existence. I own this laser because it never ceases to amaze me and all other people that sees it in real life.

It's like fireworks: visually spectacular and also a little dangerous (adrenaline inducing). Lasers and fireworks are quite boring on video compared to real life action.

I would also buy a Ferrari - if I could - even though they are impractical, expensive and I really don't need such a powerful car.
