Suzanne Vega! Wow! What a choice that would have been. Listen to her sing the Star Spangled Banner.

Had Annie Lennox been selected as the lead, the movie would have made $800,000,000 the chemistry would have been smoldering and burned up the screen

This film was originally proposed in the mid-'70s, starring Diana Ross and Steve McQueen, but was rejected as "too controversial". The film concept was to be attempted again in the late 1970s, with Ryan O'Neal and Diana Ross cast as the leads. The project fell through after only a few months because of irreconcilable differences between O'Neal and Ross, who had been dating.

Please don't go overboard with the statement of the best SSB ever sung. Every year this song has been sung at least 2,000,000 times a year at funerals, games, etc. Whitney is memorable, but there have been many that have moved me as well. Sopranos, young men with gorgeous voices, young women with gorgeous voices and an 8 year old girl with the voice of an angel singing the anthem at her father's veteran funeral.

RIP Whitney Houston- I will always love you.

Look , let's settle this little dispute about who has sang the best version of the National Anthem / The hands down Winner is Marvin Gaye's version at the 1983 NBA All-Star game / His version was truly Original,Unique, Different, NOT PRE-RECORDED like Whitney's / A Soulful version that ROCKED THE HOUSE / it would have had the same effect at the super-bowl

Makes me proud to be anything but an American.
Oh reece i have nothing against Mr Obama, in anyway shape or form, But im for RonPaul. freedom begins from realization that the repladems key runners for Corperate Agenda And Harvord n Yale ellecteral colleges is not America the proud lady she used to be.

I don't think Obama represents the corporate agenda. Like Ron Paul Obama raised most of his money from regular people so he is not going to be held accountable to corporate interests.
