Wait, fighting bulls, say whaa... I think ur thinking of oyama sensei of kyokushin. Btw, it was later revealed that he never just randomnly wrestled a bull. The bull was old nd they asked the owner if they could pose with it... Sorry to rain on any kyokushin's parade there but just goes to show you should think about these "legends" rationally before believing them. Same with martial arts -- always question why something works, ull learn alot more.

Jak20032 i agree with you that this is not traditional just mostly for show. However, i think those stories of farmers beating fully armoured samurai with sword r myths. If the farmer had weapons then it would be a bit more even but cmon... Only if the samurai was piss drunk could they stand a slight chance unarmed

If you don't know karate then it's impossible for you to understand what bunkai is.

Awesome demo Neil.....

this is competition karate not traditional real karate. No kime whatsoever. when i think that people of okinawa used to defend themselves barehanded against samurais with swords and used to fight bulls and then we see this

Heh, how about we put you up against a Kendo expert and see how many body parts you're left with post combat? Don't be a youtube troll dude. Show some respect for something more than yourself.

Kyoshi Stolesmark is actually using a mixture of suikendo techniques that he learned from Master Yamashita. Anyway this is a demo not a real streetfight. He is demostrating the art and not just kicking buts as in mma
I was asked to put together a second demonstration by Kyoshi Nojaim. This is what I came up with (in 10 minutes) in the changing room. Don't I have smart (and brave) students?
