  • i watched this at least 20 times in a row lol

  • that fuckin flat foot shift sound amazing :P welldone jay

  • I bet after that race the dude in the fox body was found in the parking lot crying with his head on his steering wheel LMAO!!!!

  • @jays05 Great explanation bro, I was throwing around the idea of a new flywheel until I read this.

  • good shit jay, i need to get to the track

  • BIG help, I will make my choice base on what you said. I will only be at the track a few times a year and 99% of the time racing from a roll.

  • You will feel more power in the low gears with a LW flywheel, I would only consider if it you only autocross and never drag race. I also stalled the car at least once a day when I had the LW flywheel. Like I said, when the flywheel is spinning at 77-7800 and you jam it into the next gear and let the clutch out, all that flywheel momentum gets transferred to the drivetrain, resulting in a big spike in "effective torque"

  • All don't tell me that. Iam getting ready to buy a light weight flywheel. Does the FFS not work as well. Do you think I need to stick with stock. I thought your suppose to feel more power with the LWF.

  • It is really hard to launch with a lightweight flywheel, you have to ride the clutch a lot. And with a heavy flywheel and FFS, you get a big torque spike after every shift when all the flywheel momentum gets transferred to the drivetrain. That's why I have all those videos of the car blowing the tires off in 2nd gear :)

  • Jay why did you go with the oem flywheel. Is it harder to make good shifts since the rpm's drop faster.
