At my brother's wake the students played this tribute to Larry and after finding it this past weekend I was compelled to share it with all of his friends and fans. I had not played itsince he passed away, but after I watched it I had to share.
It is kind of long but has some good video of him and others he acted with.
I thought of Larry tonight- I don't know why.But I watched Hogan's Heroes all the time and when I was a teenager ( I'm 54 years old now) I had a romantic dream about him,and had a crush on him forever after that! I really enjoyed this tribute.

To who knew him personally, I wish I was in your company; yet I can honestly say he has brought joy to my life over the years, thank you Larry, I miss ya.

One of the greatest men and teachers I have ever known. I think about him almost everyday and miss him just as much. Thank you for posting this. Every student that worked with him was and is, still today, thankful for his dedication, wisdom, and honest support.

Nice Tribute. Larry was a great vocalist, always first-rate which is too often forgotten. There is just not enough of his singing available. I understand he recorded some jazz standards privately for family. It would be great if these could be uploaded to the web-site honoring him -- for the many fans of his music.

What a wonderful tribute. I spoke with him on the phone many years ago and he had me laughing out loud ! He sent me an autographed photo and it hangs proudly in my hallway. Thank you for sharing this with everyone

Loved the last bit. That proved the spirit and essence of the man's talent. I wished I had the chance to know him better.
Right now, he's making God laugh to the point of tears.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Hovis. And thank you.

I always thought a lot of Larry Hovis, he seemed to always have a twinkle in his eye...Like he was up to some kind of fun. Let it be known that your family doesn't grieve alone. God bless you Larry...
