A monophonic arpeggiator with multiple play modes, an insert function and a pattern section. And then some.

  • Cool but whats the main differences between this & the Matrix?

  • @deftonesfan192 The main difference is that the matrix has you manually program the pattern in and the RPG-8 creates a pattern automatically based on which keys you hold down. They're very different in use when you get to know them.

  • sounds like nintendo

  • arpeggiation was an important feature of 8-bit and 16-bit music chips because they had limited channels.

On the old Amiga you rarely heard actual chords, they were usually very fast arpeggiations.
