I stopped watching MSNBC after Olbermann recanted his Worst Person for Wakefield and blamed Brian Deer, who is a famous award-winning investigative reporter in the UK. Olberman is nothing but a mindless ranting wind-bag now. It's a pity.
Autism Speaks' founder used to be CEO for NBC, has links to every anti-vaccine organization in the country on their website, and had Wakefield's workplace on a list of autism treatment places in Texas. NBC even got the Wakefield interview after he got struck off. In 2008 the founder said they are "not sure" if vaccines caused autism in a British (!!!) paper. Knowing the organization's tactics I would not be surprised my conspiracy theory is true...
Olbermann owes Brian Deer an huge apology now that the GMC has ruled that Wakefield failed in his duties as a responsible consultant, acted against the interests of his patients, and dishonestly and irresponsibly in his controversial research. The Lancet has even formally retracted Wakefield's 1998 paper. Start eating crow, Olbermann!
Oh Keith you left out that even though GE stock has plummetted he still gets 20 million a year and gives his committee members lavish perks. I did an analysis on this very topic. In fact I will post a video response.
know what is funny nobody is seeing olbermann trash on bill and rupert because they are watching Oreilly factor on ruperts station and thats why Keith is pissing himself as we speak
Laws worry me less than entities that are so international they have their factories in Indonesia, their paperwork is done in India, their shipping has Panama flag, their banking is done in the Caiman Islands and only their lawyers, lobbyists, customers and board are Americans.
An entity like that may make a profit but only until the US is ruined. Which will be soon if things don't change. Ever heard of patriotism? Protectionism has two sides, you know. This is not an integrated economy.
Those are all fair points. I've always thought that free trade was to the detriment of most economies.
Corporatism is probably the big problem with that. They have managed to become international entities, which can bypass the laws of any single country. That's a huge part of the problem now.
It is the buying Chinese, make nothing but junk and waste money stupidly. It COULD be solved(buy American, make everything and invest in future tech and biotech)but it will take a SECOND GREAT DEPRESSION to get the country to do it. And the US may not survive it.
...that may be the most unjustified Hitler reference I've ever seen not from Glenn Beck.
