@Michigan1985 The blue slots are more than likely Channel 1 in slots A, B, and C. If you have 3 sticks of RAM, then put them in the blue slots. If only 2, still put them in the Blue slots...

I'm a noob at building computers. Currently putting one together with a asus motherboard. Does it matter whether the ram goes into the blue or black slots. The black slot closest to the CPU is blocked by my CPU cooler fan. Can I put my two sticks in the 2 blue ones furthest from the CPU.

@Micbuns1 Nope. If you use six slots it will be 2 x triple channel. Triple channel is better than dual channel FYI.

@nuthenry2 It's a phase change cooler. Cools your CPU to sub zero temperatures.
