The Verve Pipe - The Freshmen (Album Version)

"The Freshmen" is a song by The Verve Pipe that was first featured, in acoustic style, on their 1992 album I've Suffered a Head Injury (although not as a single, and the album was later recut as an EP without the song) and later re-recorded and released as a featured single on their 1996 album Villains. It was released as the album's third single on March 31, 1997. The song peaked at #5 in the United States.

This particular recording is owned by both the band and its label RCA. I do not own the song. I simply purchased the music and distributed it seeing as there is no current video of this version available on YouTube.

I just heard this song on an episode of First Tree Hill and thought, "I know that song. I used to like it. I haven't heard it in years." Found it on good ol' YouTube. It was a flashback catalyst. great song.

I still remember looking through CDs at the college head shop at EIU and finding a used version of this CD around 1997, 98. The problem was the life of it wasn't real long and I ended up ordering it on-line or from the original place I bought it. This song might be the best song ever, in my humble opinion.
