Celice - Tierfing

Celice wielding the "Holy Sword" Tierfing.
This is from Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu or FE4.
This video shows Celice attacking dismounted (just like if he wasn't promoted) and then mounted (which, besides the movement bonus, gives him the stat ups from promotion) he is the only unit taht can dismount in this Fire Emblem.
While mounted Celice can also use spears, but since this series of short videos show lords with their respective "special" weapons, that doesn't matter =P
The "Holy Sword" Tierfing gives him +10 Skill, +10 Speed, +20 Magic Defense and grants him the Prayer skill... and it has 30 attack.

Your units gets dismounted indoors in FE3.

Only Celice can be dismounted in FE4 (but you never have an indoor mission).

You can unmount any mounted unit whenever you want in FE5 (they need to be unmounted to enter building tiles).

GBA FEs took away this feature (along with many others)

the only thing i didn't like is how you couldn't get all of the holy weapions. fala flame would have been nice...

Well, there's still a reason why wanting to unmount him... It's if you like seeing his awesome unpromoted critical animations. But after that...

And even than is pointless. Remember Celice has the Awareness Skill, meaning he won't ever be critical'd.

I always wondered. what benefit is there to dismount except maybe avoiding units with Knight killer lances
