@Zomgareyouserious i was thinking the same about the lunch lady, shes a moron, if you give a choice between water or beer they will of course take beer. another thing though is lobbying. these large corporation lobby for regulation that benefit them, when they were talking about how the troubled kids had better lunches for same cost they mentioned that very thing, pressure from large food companies, most likely same ones who contribute hefty campaign contributions..

Our school has a healthy counter with brown and white rolls, salads, hot pasta and milk/yoghurts, cut out all fatty foods and then has a small counter for getting sweets etc, removed vending machines and placed water fountains instead

Although I don't believe in blaming companies for the stupidity of the individual, I cannot and will not deny that the state of school lunches is disgusting. It's a disgrace. That fucking bitch who spit out some half-assed attempt to defend it needs to get sacked. "WELL, we just hope that with nutrition education, the kids will make the RIGHT choices." Oh, you mean the choice between a slice of fattyfat pizza or a burger? Great fucking variety. Eat a dick.
