@Coliekokker Well the way you say it doesn't make it sound so bad, since Apple did making things better instead of just copying it directly. The point is, we don't want people putting out what someone else worked on for years, making small improvements, and then trying to pass off as a hero for being only a bit better.

Multitouch thats from apple.

Apple copied much things from Nokia.

Google copied some stuff from apple.

But they made it better.

@CapitalGamer That's true for things like Blue ray. that's why Apple doesn't offer Blue Ray drives YET. They might if Blue Ray becomes more mainstream. But so far, there are still blue ray players and PS3's being sold just for Blue ray, so they don't RELY on jumping on the bandwagon to sell. Windows saw that the Mac was selling on its UI, so windows went for that feel. Isn't that like the same thing? Everybody does it, but some people just do it smarter than others.

@Coliekokker Everything Google makes feels like something Apple already did. Droids look/feel like iPhones. Google TV looks like Apple TV. And you make them seem like heroic innovators.  Lolz.

@KeibearsProperty (part 2: forgive the double-post). I tweaked both Safari and Firefox on my (not really mine) Mac Mini (2004 PPC 10.4). Now they both run blazing fast (at optimal connection). Both are as fast as each other, but I prefer some Safari features over Firefox features, so I still use Safari more.

@KeibearsProperty google them. Safari is just a couple commands in terminal and locking a library file after resetting Safari. In Firefox, type about;Config and you can change some values to make it paint the content faster. You can also change the number of requests it sends at a time so it asks for more at a time, so it paints more in less time. Then disabling useless IPv6 or IPv4, (depends on your connection). in short, anything can be as fast as Chrome if you mess with it.

What tweaks are those? I heard there are tweaks to make FF really fast with Javascripts like Chrome is cause honestly that's where it's "weakness" tends to lie in.

Are you talking about Safari on Mac or what? I don't know if you can tweak the Windows one, or can you?

Speaking of that, I've never had any issues with it on Windows, sure it's not my main browser but I never had crashing or glitches. In some ways it's superior to Chrome in speed and this is default Safari too.

OPen source for the win. Don't get me wrong, I still use Safari when I can. But the fact that anybody and everybody is allowed to contribute to developing Firefox makes it a great system, and gives it phenominal potential. I refuse to use IE, Google chrome, opera, and others.

Yes, google is fast, but it's probably because it took tweaks that made others faster and made it the defaults for their own browser. With tweaks, Firefox and Safari are still the fastest over chrome.
