It's amazing what you can find for free. Gardening can be an expensive hobby if you buy everything you need from shops, so it's thrifty to re-use food containers for seed trays, and to keep an eye open for useful things being thrown out when walking around your neighbourhood.
Here we take a look at some of the things that have cost absolutely nothing to the gardener, but will be useful in the vegetable garden as growing containers and screens.

    I am always on the look out for useful stuff, but I only take what someone else is throwing away .... honest!

  • In America we call it "dumpster diving" and it is becoming an art form. It is better to reuse than to recycle and it all works together to reduce the use of our resources!
