they did not have probable cause... they said that there dog smelt something but he obviously did not. so how is that cause? that is a lie that was trying to trick him into getting out of the car.

Nothing is obvious, I wasn't there nor were you.
When police dogs react they rarly make sound, let's not forget that it was dark and that he probably didn't recognize this signal.
Next, implying that the police were trying to trick him into getting out of the car is a little beyond what you or I is able to percieve from the footage alone.
Lastly probable cause is defined as reasonable belief, the police dogs are enough to generate because of their training to the task.
