I've been playing Moria for fifteen years and never got the Balrog, though I got close. Recently, I switched to Angband and am enjoying it. There are features to it that I always wanted in Moria.

I like to take it slow - building up my character over a long time, collecting the right weapons, armour and building up stats. I like playing a mage, which makes things harder at first. When I finally do get the big baddie, I'll stop and never play it again. It'll be closure.
