    Assuming she has Type II (Insulin-Independent) Diabetes:

    Initially the pancreas will upregulate its insulin production to compensate for the decreased insulin-sensitivity in the body. But after years of this, the B islets cells of the pancreas (which secrete insulin) will get "burnt-out", and so insulin production will actually DECREASE. That's why the patient at this stage would need insulin injections. Hope that helps.

    THİS MEANS THAT SHE HAS A LOT OF INSULİN PRODUCTİON İN HER BODY

    HER BODY MAKES İNSULİN MUCH MORE

    WHY DOES SHE USE İNSULİN PEN ??

    I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THİS..

    I THİNK SHE NEEDS TO ATKİNS DİET...SHE NEEDS TO LOW CARB DİET..

    She should have maintained her weight....i am sure she has type 2 diabetes weight plays a very important role in diabetes i am 13 and i am going to use this pen... and i am so happy to get started!! :)
