@WREYtube Since I no longer watch them since 2001, how have they changed ? Do they still show the synoptic surface analysis, such as the isobars associated with highs, and progression of weather systems at the surface ? I remember in 1989 December, (my favorate month in SC) they always were in-depth in those days, with 5 day jet stream forecasts and very good surface analysis. After 2000 I didn't see that anymore except for those useless school day graphics. Any improvements since ?

Hey it's mid March in Miami! Let's all go to the beach! Wait, what's this? Why does it feel like the middle of winter in the NE?

The song is "Jenny C" by Peter Buffet
Yes I remember that music too from that time ! Boy the Weather Channel was allot better back in the 80's and early 90's than now. It was real science back then - not the agenda driven stuff like now. So I don't watch them anymore since 2001.

@Chris6134 Like all channels, TWC has changed as well... technology is better, but the pace I think is sometimes too fast...

Ah yes, I remember how the Weather Channel forecasts were like at the time (I was then 12-14 years old) & grew up in the Palm Springs area in So Cal. This is Miami Fla. 6 months after hurricane Andrew slammed them & they're going through another weather disaster. In my hometown, we had a record rainfall winter to end a previous record drought, thanks to the El Nino phenomena & Mount Pinatubo's eruption ash cloud cooled down global temps. for awhile. +

@madden8021 Thanks! Saw the comment on my channel... I think I have another from this era with different music, and I think another from 1992, but not too much more than that... I'll try and dig up and post (The one I'd like to see again is the December 24, 1989 local forecast... I believe it was the last Miami forecast that had snow in it... CRAZY!)... :)
