This is a macedonian gajda in 'A' with a high drone that plays in unison with the chanters A. the drone is made of cooktown ironwood and the chanter is brigalow. the little drone is african blackwood. The goat skin is chemically tanned and is beautifully soft- and it doesnt have the meaty-animaly smell of tradional salt cured skins- and it is more airtight. i finished making this instrument in december 08.
i am currently taking orders for these instruments and bulgarian kaba gaidas which i will upload a video of soon. wait time is up to six months but will be worth it. message me for more info.
that thing sounds sensational....and looks it too. wish i could play it
