@Sketchtool Yup, go to Fairmont Skatepark or 9th and 9th or something like that, you will notice that most of the skaters do not wear helmets. Dont expect Slug Magazine to get all these AMs and Flows to wear helmets to skate downtown and the U, for it is their option if they want to wear a helmet. Dew Tour skaters dont wear helmets, Pheonix AM, Damn AM, whatever. Its their option.

@slugmagazine At any skatepark, they won't be sued for when a child cracks their skull. And BS on the signing aspect. I recognized 5 people in that video who DID NOT sigh any liability. Also, a child signing an agreement won't hold up in court without the parents signature/permission as well.
PS Snow gives a little when hit, concrete doesn't. PSS go to the Pediatrics and see the head traumas.

@slugmagazine Or you could contact IGSA and see how an association actually promotes safety.

Saw only two people wearing helmets...
Wow! Looks like slug magazine likes to promote stupidity! Fuck that!
You're absolutely right!
You should contact the ABC and ESPN networks as well for promoting stupidity with the X Games and Dew tour. I don't remember Ryan Sheckler or P Rod rocking a helmet, or any of the street athletes. And they promote it on TV live to the world, what an outrage!

@slugmagazine and when one of those kids busts their head open at one of your next events, and their parents sue the hell out of SLUG, feel free to tell the judge about how "Ryan Sheckler or P Rod don't rock helmets." That will definitely win your case.

@Sketchtool Wow! This is the bottom line, SLUG is not going to force people who do not normally wear helmets to do so, period! If they choose to, more power to them! It's a matter of personal preference nothing more. All participants to all SLUG events of the sort sign a liability agreement and know exactly what they're getting into. Take a trip to any local skatepark, tell me how many kids are wearing helmets. You should hit up Brighton next for selling lift tickets to people without helmets.
