Carl Palmer Band playing Peter Gunn with additional guest drummers, Ian and Steve Palmer. Filmed at the Palmer Family Showdown in Bilston. Don't expect the sound quality to be great, it was filmed on a palmcorder with a tiny built in microphone and so the volume distorts in places. I hope there are some people out there who enjoy it.

Apologies for the 'banding' on camera movement - I had to decrease the quality to comply with YouTube's 100Mb max file size. And it still cuts off slightly early.

  • I love Carl Palmer, but this was completely boring. I could have played drums on this, and I have no formal training. (I do play drums) Who are the other two drummers, and why are they even there?

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN - Read the notes - it was the Palmer Family Showdown featuring Carl, his brother Steve, and nephew Ian. It was a great day with some excellent drumming. You most certainly would not have been bored on the day.

  • Well, I saw CP with this guitar player. There were 50 people only in the audience. However, Carl and his band played 100%, real pros. He just likes playing his drums. He is like the animal from Muppet Show.

  • @jemmojemmo Got that right. It made your insides shake like a funny car.

  • ESTO ES DE HERNRY MANCINI!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN

are you kidding me? Listen again. THREE drummers. I only hear one.

  • @jemmojemmo, My bad. I should have read the description. It makes more sense now. Yes, I would have loved to have been there. Carl Palmer has been my favorite Prog drummer since 1973. He's as incredible as ever, just not much going on here. I am pretty sick of Peter Gunn. I was lucky enough to see ELP here in Maine in 1977. (Unfortunately, without the orchestra) Such a great show. Those '70's ELP albums still amaze me. Nothing like them before or since. Thanks for the heads up!

  • @Boimarin Hi, I was just wondering what you meant by 'becoming a caricature'

I think I understand what you mean though,,,

  • Thank you for this! I LOVE Carl Palmer's drumming! BIG ELP fan!

  • Unfortunately I agree totally. Someone should tell him what to do musically and what not.
