The Asian Development Bank will fund a energy-efficiency project in the Philippines that will give away 13 million energy-saving lamps to homeowners and businesses as part of a government push to cut the nation's power bills. It will save the Philippines US$ 100 million a year in fuel costs.

  • Regarding these energy saving devices. The Phil. government could also import more solar powered panels, it's a great investment that saves a lot of money. Electric companies might try to oppose on importing these energy saving devices but citizens should petition the government to encourage local companies to import more to benefit so many who are suffering from soaring high cost of energy. More wind turbine should be built throughout the country.
