I think it's a fake, he did turn off the screen, else he would show us the move big number in battery use, screen where it counts how long the screen was on.
New battery life on my stood was around 3 hours screen on, with sensor

Its not really a test if you just leave the screen on and play music. the battery dies because of using 3G and playing games. 3G uses most of the battery
