  • what a bunch of assholes, they're holding back on the 9800m gtx so they can charge more when they replace the 9800m gt.

  • yeah, but you could make your own with the same parts for cheaper, and you would pride your system more, being that you built it...

  • "" yourself

  • I am xD

  • alienware's price/hardware ratio is outrageous. gateway's fx series are the bang for buck . also, you can throw MSI and Asus in the mix as well.

  • Yes that I know that. And I bought the Alienware already (before the i7core came out, which im kicking myself in the ass for not waiting and seeing what kind of upgrades will they have 3 months later but oh well).

Also at the time I didn't know how to build a computer, I know how to upgrade the graphics and RAM along with some area's of the cpu...

The only thing that I lacked is the ability to know how to find compatibility parts for it, otherwise I would have built it myself.

  • One last thing, compare Alienware's prices to Voodoo, Falcon and iBuy extreme gaming computer brands? compared to those prices Alienware is one of the cheaper ones

  • Also for the time being yes you can build a computer for less money with the same specs. BUT what about laptops? So far there has been no way for someone to build a laptop without having to either buy one themselves or to even be able to build it without having to get the specific parts that you need from a third party vendor.

  • I know this very well but you have to understand why the price is so high. They get their parts DIRECTLY from the vendor. Which means it costs them more money. Not to mention they have to pay for their tech support, the people who build the computer from the bottom up, and they also have to fund their classes (yes alienware does provide classes).

So the prices are reasonable, its assholes like you who don't understand how the vendor of the economy works.

  • another asshole who is mad cause they cant get an alienware

  • let me see here, for the mac pro to match the max specs of an alienware it takes about 10k to 14k, while the max specs of an alienware alone is just under 8k with shipping and handling, failed again mactard
