Baby Felicity Reading Compilation (12 Months to 2.5 Years)

Felicity has loved to read since she was a little baby. Some people assume she must have been forced to read, but that couldn't be further away from the truth! Babies love to learn, and especially when they are very young, there's no difference between 'learning' and 'playing'!

For those of you wanting to teach your baby to read (or learn stuff), it is VERY IMPORTANT to always keep the learning process as fun as possible! Forcing your child to learn (especially at such a young age) will have counter-productive effects in the long run!

Amazing really. At what age did/will you start teaching phonics? if at all? does this programme eventually teach phonics? What do you think about phonics?

In the beginning, we never really 'explicitly' taught her phonics, yet after a while, she could sound out simple words she had never seen before. Little children pick up word patterns just as easily as speech patterns, and they do it naturally. Our system now includes our Pattern Phonics sets which let them learn the rules of phonics as babies (even before learning the alphabet), and most importantly, INTUITIVELY.
