Brooke & Emily are two of about a dozen 20-somethings who live in a house near the University of Detroit - communally living because of family circumstances or the economy or because they enjoy it.
The residents split the $475-a-month rent and the utilities. They are not the only ones in Detroit who are opting for communal living. In fact, some people squat in abandoned homes. It's either that - or living on the streets.
Very good :) I have lived communally many times :)
