They were a goodtime Sydney rock'n'roll revival band, formed as Fanis in 1972, but made over from 1975 as Ol' 55 under their new manager, music journalist Glenn A. Baker, with Peter Bryan ( Frankie J. Holden ) as the new front man.

Great song. This is the album version though which is slightly different from the single version. ( Album version has the lyric's "they've turned into oldies but they were newies then" while the single version is "We've turned into oldies but we were newies then ")
