On this day we left the canyon's rim and traveled to see Meteor Crater, located east of Flagstaff. We paid our entrance fees and were led out onto the crater's rim for a view and a lot of it's history.
After that we visited Walnut Canyon National Park where ancient indian ruins of dwellings perched neatly into the canyon's walls can be observed.
Our last stop was the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. Discovery location of the planet Pluto, this even venture allowed us to see many exibits and a chance to see Jupiter and one of its moons through a rather large telescope.
