@adriaticor goodness me... Music - like fashion, and art... is a continuous evolution - and mix of old and new ideas, whether it's designing new jeans, cooking, art is a mix-up of the conscious and sub-conscious... even the Classic God Like Composers that I so respect would take motifs from previous composers and rewrite Variations on themes..... Sting is an intelligent, spiritual and very evolving serious Artist... God - he's not Cher or something...

When Sitng does stuff like this, he's merely extending the brand. Exploiting it to the max to attract as many listeners as possible, in the ideal view. To derive the most income, in the cynical one. A pity really, because this was perhaps his most spiritual song ever (lyrics by him,, motif by Bach).
