BMW X3 XDrive35d on the Autobahn with top speed

I took this 286HP X3 on the Autobahn to see what's what. It became a rather fast drive, always going between 200 and 240 km/h. Despite the low temperatures the road was only mildly moist and not slick at all.

Yes, the wind noise is quite loud in the old X3

Nice high definition view of the Autobahn.

There aren't any highways like this in North America. We are stuck back here driving at 60 and 70 miles per hour (100 to 130 kph) What a joke it is driving here in North America. Ya, ya I hear it every day, America is the best (maybe in the 1970's it was) but I don't believe it anymore.

It depends on what you want. The X3 is lighter, smaller, therefore faster and overall more fun to drive. The X5 is bigger and more luxurious. The X3 represents about the limit I would be able to accept as an SUV, because it really is a multi-purpose vehicle for all weathers and you don't have trouble fitting in parking spaces.
