It was the EXPORT prices raising and NOT the farmers prices
the farmers got about 25% more for their rice.
The traders and exporters are making the profits over the backs of the farmers.
Lots of them don't have enough money to use fertilisor

In Thailand, price of insecticide and chemical fertilizer go up to 300 percent since Feb2008.
