Mods are listed in video description. Mondeo is 195bhp at the wheels. Although it's not accurate (and hence why I dislike quoting flywheel figures) taking into account 18-20% losses this means 230-240 bhp at flywheel.

Damn, was thinking of getting a Mondy but if a 260bhp version only does 9.21 at the ring I won't bother. My 155bhp Focus TDCi has done 9.36 second time out, looking for 9.20 next time

@Englandforever91 I don't rate them tbh but for that type of car, I guess they sound better than some. The Volvo engine is a 5 pot though. My Clio's induction noise was quite nice I guess but engine noise in hot hatches wouldn't ever be a reason to buy for me. Hence, my current diesel!

@gaz0044 Focus ST sounds brilliant, along with the golf GTi in fact alot of the half decent modern hot hatch backs sound pretty good. Obviously not as good as v8's, v10's etc but still sound very nice in my opinion. My favourite has got to be that volvo 4 pot engine in the focus ST and focus RS though.

@Englandforever91 Examples... I think they sound pretty average and then when people stick a stupidly massive exhaust on them, they sound terrible and loud. I don't mind a bit of induction noise but other than that, they sound gash. Are you meaning they sound good on bikes?

@escort659 that is not a concern of mine. For me, cars only sound nice when you get into V8's, V10's etc. Nearly all 4 cylinder cars sound shit and the 6 cylinders are average, depending on what car they are in. The Mondeo does't sound that good in petrol.
