from the album; Secret Museum of Mankind Central Asia Ethinic Music Classics 1925-48 "Sharyin, Sharyin Shoru" by Chimiddorh Ghanshuryin . Mongolian throat singing also know as Tuvan Throat singing, is an unusual form of singing with overtones, a technique similar to Native american throat singing and Buddhist chant.
This series of early recordings feature amazing fidelity considering the era and age. Soulful and authentic folk recordings of cultures and peoples transmuted or extinguished long ago by wars slavery and genocides. Great liner notes too. Traditional songs from Kazakhstan Uzbekistan Mongolia Azerbijan Tajikastan Daghestan Kirghizia Crimea Sinkiang and Turkestan The music feels to have other regional influences. It's truly a diverse array of sounds.
