Problems and a workaround for the Motorola S9 Stereo Bluetooth headphones when used with an iPhone. I paired mine with an iPhone 3G 16GB running 3.0 OS. For my thoughts on iPhone products, go to http://jarofclay73.blogspot.com/

  • Hi there, I have a S9 which I have paired with my 3GS running OS4. Everything works fine except I cannot get it to skip forward (or back) to the next song. Do you know if this is still an Apple OS problem or is this function just not compatible. Thanks Tom.

  • @tom4865 I have OS 4.0.1 now. I haven't tried pairing my stereo Bluetooth headset yet but I don't doubt that it hasn't changed from OS 3. So, yes, no skip forward or skip backwards yet. I'm sure Apple is very busy with other problems. ;o) And in my opinion, the stereo Bluetooth market kinda sucks. It still is WAY better to use wired headphones.

  • Thanks for the video. I've been having the same "stuttering" problem with mine. I've gone through 4 pairs now (warranty replacements) including the S9HD. I believe the problem actually lies with the microphone. I've tried everything you've mentioned but I've had the very best streaming when I put my ear protection headphones on over the S9's. With the S9's covered, I get clear streaming with my iPhone sitting on the counter downstairs. Wearing a knit hat over them works pretty good too.

  • Do you have a link of what you put over the S9 aside from a knit hat? :) Ear protectors?

  • I did some more research since my comment, and I learned that metal between the S9 and the source will disrupt the connection, the knit hat merely isolated my S9's from my jacket zipper thus increasing the connection. I did find a running belt with a coated zipper on the pocket that holds my iPhone. I ran a 5k with it on Thanksgiving without ever losing sound at all - google Runners Vault Belt by Tytenz Sports. I wore it with the pocket in back where there were no zippers, buckles or buttons.

  • I'll look into that!

  • I figured out the problem when I changed the iPhone from the frontside pocket to the back one without using any backpack, because when I have been using a backpack the problem happened. I gonna try to disable GPS function and see whats happen. However, the GPS is a passive wireless function (don`t sends any data), so I don`t know if it makes sense. Bye.

  • that happen with my HTC Tytn II aswell +(

  • I guess u should also upgrate to 3.1.2

  • i had some blue and black s9 and i had them for my helio drift and i never had any problems except for the pocket problem. they get smash. i lost a headphone on the left because of that. usaully i wear them on my neck. But now im going to get the motorola ht820.

  • You spent like $50 bucks.
