We often think that the true nature of being is something far away and deeply hidden, or something that we have to search for in the far reaches of our minds or the universe.
But in reality, the universe and our minds are one, and the nature of being is closer to us than ourselves. For it is really ourselves which are the illusion. Infinite being is the reality.
The Vedic tradition teaches that the experience of existence is a dream within the One Mind, and that this single seamless Mind is all there really is. Individuality is imaginary.
We are truly figments of our own imagination - the imagination of Infinite Awareness.
To experience the essential nature of being, it is only necessary to look into the eyes of another living creature. What is found in the blackness and emptiness of the central eye?
This blackness and emptiness is a reflection of our true being. It is said "the eyes are windows to the soul." When we gaze into the nothingness of the pupil, we connect to our true selves.
We can meet our true selves deep in the eyes of another living creature. It is not necessary to look any further, for when we truly see the essence of another living being, we meet Reality.
