Testing out the video, audio and photo of the Canon PowerShot G12 at The Mule's concert in Brighton.
The concert had very low lighting, which was very atmospheric but tricky to film. Here you will see how, with a bit of tweaking with Final Cut, the camera performed in the trick environment.
The audio worked well most of the time except when shooting in front of the bass bins, which is not surprising as I could feel the bass throughout my whole body. When just a few meters away it coped much better. The other point is during the quieter songs you pick up a lot of crowd chatter as the microphones have a wide catchment area.
The video shoes the final cut setting for each clip and notes about each. Photos at the end.
can you zoom in and out while filming in 720p? thanks

@fakingfrench There is a digital zoom which only allows you to zoom in/out from the optical zoom level you have set when you start filming. But you can't zoom optically while filming.
