In July 2008 I spent some time, as an ongoing forest defender, living 120' in a tree -- a massive Ancient Redwood to be exact. It was an amazing experience and very fulfilling to be up there helping to save these beautiful organism. If you'd ever like to experience this and you're willing to get in the way of loggers, then reach out to me and I can make arrangements.

  • Just this past week, she was part of an action protesting Green Diamond clearcutting the forest near Jacoby Creek Road north of Eureka in Humboldt County, a forest a lot like the one in this video.

People would be outraged if they knew how much clearcutting going on in California's far northwestern redwood forests. Meanwhile, my daughter and those like her continue to sit in trees 24/7, week after week, month after month, trying to save a little bit of that redwood forest for all of us.

  • @cymbidia Blessings to your daughter.

  • Thank you for sharing this footage. I really sat watching this and living vicariously through it! I would love to treesit; I'd do it for just the experience, if I could. Somewhat of a irony though, how everything you got up there and what helps you stay up there, is plastic! Synthetic cords/ropes, plastic bottles, bucket, tarp. But it's allowing you to preserve a tree, so better there than just in a house. I envy the true living you have in the tree. Cheers.

  • @Haarmonics Thanks so much for watching. You can totally live in a tree. Everyone should at least once! It's a magical experience, really. I hear you about the plastic. You're right. But it is what it is and our intention is to bring attention to the destruction of the old-growth trees. Thanks so much and let's keep in touch :) Blessings

  • I would love to climb man. Let me know brother. Much Peace Love n Respect to you.
