The Backpacker is a weird little guitar, as you are now probably realizing! It's got an almost normal-sized neck, which makes it top-heavy and almost unplayable without the strap. I usually play closer to the soundhole on a more standard guitar, but with this thing you just get it where it feels good and pick away. Hope you're likin' it.

You're supposed to wear a strap at all times, even when you are sitting. It's a lot easier to smush a strap down than haul around an extra square foot or two of guitar, just so you can sit it on your leg. The idea is get small first. It isn't a replacement for a big body guitar. It has it's own sound. Almost like a slide guitar. I love mine. Action and intonation are perfect 4me. Gr8 When amplified. Wish I would have got one with a pick-up. I wanna try the B-Band A1.2N-1470 w/ pre-amp.
