@FungusLabel You can get around it with an MXR EQ pedal. ENGL's and MESA's are two different amps. ENGL's are front loaded with more gain hence they sound better at lower volumes. Whilst MESA's are more Marshall orientated and need some cranking before they sound good. The other week I jammed with a mate who has a Dual rectum friar and my Blackmore kept up and went beyond with no probs. Due to it being designed of Blackmore's old Marshalls. Each to their own bro...:-)

@5150VanAlien Yeah they do. But both powerball and fireball just cant cut when other guitarist has mesa.

@FungusLabel In two minds with your comment. I do read people mentioning that about the Fireball 60 and it's usually caused by them scooping mids and losing perceived volume. I've got the Savage 120 and Blackmore sig model and they peel industrial paint of walls

@5150VanAlien You forgot to say that Mesa kills ANY Engl in the mix :)

@bamsk8cky Defintely dude. The ENGL has better craftsmanship and build quality as they don't make Mesa's as good as they use to. My guitar store tells me they get Mesa's returned more nowadays whilst ENGLs are nothing in comparison. Plus ENGLs are one of the very few amps where tones are consistent at all volumes. Mesas, Marshalls etc...have to be cranked. I've got the Savage 120 and never looked back and looking at getting this baby soon.

Do you all think this amp is better than a Mesa Triple Rectifier? I bought a triple rec and im seriously thinking about returning it for this one haha. any thoughts?
