Tropheus duboisi (Duboisi Cichlid) is best kept in groups in large aquariums. The aquarium shoulc be decorated using a lot of rocks that creates a lot of hiding places and tunnels. Leave a lot of space open to give the fish room to swim. This species is best fed a vegetable diet. They accept vegetable pellets. Duboisi Cichlids are mouthbrooders. The female lays up to 20 eggs that are fertilized by the male. The female then takes the eggs in her mouth where she keeps them until the fry is a few days old.

  • Hi I've been thinking about selling my whole 350gallon setup, but not individuals. I've seen about 6 generations grow up in this tank. Still lots of babies. The dominant fish in the tank was the male Dubosi he just died at about 7 years old. Now one of his kids has taken over the family, and the tank. They are a great fish in a community.
