Violin Ensemble, inspired by Mayfair muses Poetry Meeting every Thursday in the 90's at Shepherd's Market under the Cherry Tree - quite near Hill Street and my last meeting with my Father the last acting head of Bletchley Park
I know my life is not a very worthy one but I had my music prepared but I was taken with an idea from a Cambridge Poet I believe his name was Hal anyway he loved the romantic idyll with atypically hungarian twist. I always liked the romantic and the idea of wine women and song gave me the notion of a gypsy encampment with cutting males and lashing females in the evening as their poetic retsina (poetic licence) finishing as the fire at center of their encampment got higher and as licks of flame enticed the evening's ongoings so does the ensemble until in the hearth of the fire the evening meets the emerbers and so the drink finishes and all sleep. Hope you like
