Nice work. Definitely harder than it looks. I've used an automatic sewing awl with a spool of thread in the handle occasionally, but it's finicky and the stitching usually comes out looking sloppy. 'Course, that might just be me...

Great video, I'm making an outfit which requires alot of leather work, just wondering, how do you finish it off? Or can you just cut the thread and tie them together because they're "self-locking"?

@MrSalty953 ..Thank you...you should run a back stitch a few or more stitches back..easier to show in a video...maybe sometime I can show that when I get time to make more videos..

Dangerous Dan,..thank you...I never used an automatic sewing awl.
Would it help if the spacing was marked before starting. Maybe
that would help..Thanks again...Matt

redchevy1957..I use the awl in the video for all leather work. I forged
it into a diamond style..If your using a hand drill try marking
the spacing first before making your holes...You can use a
line spacer tool for that as one option. Matt
