The 1979 Cobra at idle with some revs, was a little chilly compared to my other videos, hasn't been run in a little while so What you're seeing isn't all smoke. Some is just exhaust in the cool air. Does smoke a little if I rev high and rev rev on it's way down or when it's searching for idle.

  • very nice idle! i want that sound in my f150...sadly its a modular engine and it cant get that lopey without replacing springs n shit. not to mention the cams alone are over $500...

  • Yup, thats another reason modular sucks.

  • heh its a very reliable/efficient/powerful engine for its size. but yes one of the drawbacks is mentioned earlier

  • Check out my videos of my old truck, the white 1997 F-150, it had a 5.4L and sounded good.

  • yeah i watched them and left a few comments :P but since were having a conversation on this vid i decided to put this here: the idle doesnt sound lopey. did it have cams?

  • My white truck did not have cams.
