That's true man, I my self have this disorder and it does make it extremely hard but I always focus on thinking twice before I say anything and take my time while I'm speaking. Even though it is tough I have gotten much better over the years, nice video dude.

My brother stuttered all his life.He is 21 and stuttered every since he was like 5.I know exactly what you are going through b/c I my brother worries about those things.When he is nervous he tends to stutter more like when he is around people.I hate when people make fun of him.I will fight when it comes to people making fun of my brother.

I understand you 100%. I alsoo stutter and approching girls is challenging for me. I 'm not shy but the first impression is important so I don't even try most of the time.

I once had a job interviewer laugh at me. I stood up for myself and told him to go f*** himself and made a scene. it felt 100 times better than walking out of there feeling sorry about myself for something that is completly out of my control.

seems like the only "cure" for stuttering is confidence and being able to accept your speech. At least for me. its hard to just accept it. Sometimes i see it as a curse. I have thought deeply and many many times about suicide. its hard. but fuck it. honestly. keep the people you love close and try and defend yourself even if its outside the social norm.

Great video! I am currently in my senior yr in civil engineering. I must tell you having a stutter is a lot of pain. Going to class is like going to hell and getting off from school feels like I am going to heaven... just a big relieve. The past 4 yrs has been awful and challeging for me. Moreover, I am happy that I am almost done. Peace and Love to you fellow stutterers

@tobim2004
peace and love indeed bro...sighs
yeah i remember my college years...for those occasional in front of class presentations / oral assignments...the stress/pressure is pretty wrecking and debilitating at times....asides from trying some professional speech therapy that specialize in stuttering/disfluencies not just any 'speech therapy' ...
Just take one/many DEEP BREATHS TO RELAX AS MUCH AS YOU CAN...then do what you must! :-D

I'm not a suicidal person, but stuttering has cause me to think that way sometime. I hated this part of myself. Today I had to call a nurse to book an apointment, hopefully I can get some med. I coudln't believe you're a stutter, you're very fluent. thanks for a wonderful video.

Tuan, no need for the suicidal thoughts, I know what you're going through, been through it, still going through it. It's tough, what we have to face with as stutters, I've been a 'covert' stutter, when I can help it, now I just try to do what I can...my advice is to just make sure you have understanding friends and a support group that you can be comfortable with and around..., and try to...when possible to seek therapy...but do your research...as quality will vary...for the type of stuttering.

A well-expressed video, mate. To my mind it is not a medical disorder, nor even a physical one.
With regard to "late onset" stuttering, investigators sometimes forget that in the years before its manifestation, the PWS may actually have been a covert stutterer.
You are absolutely right about what faces us in everyday life.
You were obviously having a "fluent day"! Good on ya! ;-)

I've been to a therapy/treatment session, so I'm continually 'working' on my fluency, of course some days are better than others, and yes, you're right....perhaps one of my better days :-D
